ABOUT

ME

Passionate about communicating with heart.

It’s nice to meet you! I’m Nicole Laoutaris, and my pronouns are she/her.

I'm a communications pro with over a decade of experience working in-house for companies across the arts, fintech, and cannabis sectors. My experience across industries has made me forever adaptable; I've done it all, from walking Hollywood talent down red carpets to meeting with dozens of local municipal governments to talk through cannabis legalization.

I’ve gravitated toward startups and companies in a “startup phase” because of their energy and potential for growth. I was part of the Communications team during the first five years of TIFF Bell Lightbox, on the LCBO’s cannabis project team setting up frameworks for Ontario’s first legal cannabis operations, and most recently helped launch the new pet tech brand Pawzy.

As a connector and a communicator, I'm most motivated by building a sense of community with staff and external stakeholders, and fostering socially- and people-minded leadership.

I’ll bring authenticity, humanity and heart to any communications strategy, and use my skills to help businesses ensure their practices and products reflect the world around us.

I’m a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a double degree in Communications and Film Studies, and I hold a post-graduate certificate in Corporate Communications from Seneca College. While working in the tech industry, I completed HackerYou’s Search Engine Optimization course to elevate my ability to use digital PR in support of SEO goals.
